In September 2020, I participated in the ‘De Kunstjongeren’ project with 5 other teenagers.
This was a course to learn about curatorship. We, a group of teenagers have put together an exhibition together with a professional curator and two artists. The theme we came up with together: ‘The Secret Life of Plants’.
We created the exhibition in a bus, with sounds of plants, video images, paintings and projections.
Truly an experience for the visitor, to be able to enter the world of a plant.
An important reference for us was Stevie Wonder’s album from 1979 Journey Through The Secret Life of Plants, it became then clear to us that we share an interest in nature and plants.

I found it very interesting to experience the whole process surrounding an exhibition. We were able to exhibit the exhibition in various places. I found it fun and educational to work on this together and was very proud of our result! Clicke here to read more.
