I wanted to make a dice box for my private D&D group… I 3D designed and printed this box and it turned out to be very challenging to paint it. I covered the inside with a layer of resin to make it nice and smooth. I am happy with the final result and my D&D group uses it when we play.
What went wrong?
I used acrylic paint to paint this box but when I poured the resin, the paint dissolved / smeared (see picture). What a headache this turned out to be. I resolved it by adding a layer of lacker over the paint before pouring the resin.
